Quentin Tarantino movies are great to look at, but there’s also plenty going on when it comes to what you can hear. And I’m not just talking about the quotable dialogue.

In his video Hearing Tarantino filmmaker Jacob T. Swinney takes a look at the subtle and not-so-subtle noises and sounds Tarantino uses in his movies, from Reservoir Dogs to Django Unchained, from zooming closeups to wide-angles.

We hear the rattling of chains, the swishing of a sword and the popping of beer caps, all sewn together in a stylish homage.
