Forget about going to the gym today, they’ll be no need after you shed pounds laughing so hard at this brilliant spoof of EDM from Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg, and Jorma Taccone, aka The Lonely Island. Samberg plays DJ Daavinci who teases out the dropping of the bass to the over-eager and loved-up crowd until the point of spontaneous combustion.

As he plays computer games, fries an egg and rakes in the cash while doing not much at all behind the booth, he eventually unleashes the bass—and it wrecks the place like some occult entity’s eating up the crowds’ souls.

Background:
The Lonely Island is an American comedy group formed by Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg, and Jorma Taccone, well known for their comedic music. Originally from Berkeley, California, the group is currently based in New York City.

The group became recognized due to their collective work from 2005 to 2011 on Saturday Night Live, featuring Samberg as a cast member and Taccone and Schaffer as writers. All three left their jobs at SNL, with Taccone leaving at the conclusion of the 2010–2011 season and Samberg and Schaffer departing the next year.
