At events like Comic Con people go all out with their cosplaying, imitating their favorite fictional characters to such an accomplished degree, they wouldn’t look out of place in a movie.

But to create a costume like that takes a lot of skill, time, and effort. Sometimes weeks, even months of work dedicated to the cause of getting the costume just right, and that’s not even mentioning how much it’s going to cost in materials. Not everyone has that kind of dedication or the finances.

Which is where the lo-fi genius of Anucha “Cha” Saengchart from Thailand comes in. Also known as Low Cost Cosplay Saengchart makes his costumes out of everyday household objects.

Toothpaste, sticky tape, sharpies, old t-shirts, clothespins, combs, keys, anything can be used to turn him into all manner of characters. And it seems Saengchart’s philosophy is ‘the cheaper the better’.

From creations Captain America to Ariel, Batman to Donald Duck—nothing is out of the realm of possibility.

And sure they might not have the professionalism of some of the cosplay on offer at Comic Con, but in terms of sheer resourcefulness, creativity, and entertainment value, Saengchart is an absolute master.

You can check out his many, many costumes below. And follow him on Facebook and Instagram for more.
