Do you have a smartphone? Of course you do, it’s that thing you spend most of your life looking at and can’t live without. And depending on how severe your addiction to this tiny device is will indicate just how much you know about every single feature your phone has.

So chances are you’ve definitely used the panoramic feature (if your phone has one), lets face it, most phones are used for selfies, and then sending those selfies via text or a suitable social media app to your fiends.

Contrary to popular selfie-belief the panorama feature on your smartphone’s camera is actually installed so you can capture photos of stunning vistas. To help you convey the splendor of a stunning landscape, not selfies of you and your friends.

But they can be tricky to master, mainly due to the fact that to take one you need to slowly move the camera horizontally along the yellow line displayed on your screen.

If you don’t stay on the line, move too quickly or move the camera up or down, you can end up with more than just a blurry shot. You can end up inadvertently creating a hideously malformed photographic monster.

Something more akin to the abominations created by Doctor Moreau than a nice pic you can show your friends. Here are some instances of those times. Be afraid.
