Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce Jenner) was introduced to the world in the most stylish way possible, on the cover of Vanity Fair wearing a bustier photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

July’s issue of the magazine also features the line “Call me Caitlyn” and was met with much fanfare by the internet.

After starting a twitter account Caitlyn accumulated one million followers in just four hours, beating even Obama’s record when he joined a few weeks back.

For those of you who’ve been living under a rock and missed all the hype then you probably wouldn’t have known that a couple of months ago Bruce Jenner undertook what is probably the most publicized gender transition of all time.

Bye-bye Bruce. Hello Caitlyn.

People who have seen Vanity Fair have been remarking how Caitlyn looks like Jessica Lange. Lange herself isn’t on Twitter but responded when The Daily Beast asked for her opinion. “Oh really?” she said. “That’s so wonderful. Well now I’m going to have to look for that picture.”

Here’s what the cover of Vanity Fair looks like.

Caitlyn also tweeted out this message of thanks.

The Kardashian/Jenner clan also tweeted out their support.

And there was also celebrity support, most notably from the prez himself.

In the Vanity Fair piece, as well as looking fine in some glam photos, Caitlyn also talks about how much better she feels. “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen.”

The support online has been overwhelmingly positive too, with #CallMeCaitlyn trending on Twitter and lots of people showing their support. Here’s some of what they’ve been saying.
