Of all the incidents that the internet loves turning into a meme, none have quite the power that a celebrity taking a tumble can muster. We only have to look at the reaction to Madonna’s fall at the Brit Awards to see that.

Shaquille O’Neal is the latest person to, um, fall victim to losing his footing on live TV. Shaq was on halftime show Inside The NBA when he stood up too quickly, tripped on some wires and took a spectacular dive to the floor.

His fellow presenters couldn’t help but laugh uncontrollably at it. And why not, live TV always brings out the best (and worst) in people.

Heck, even Shaq himself was laughing, tweeting the following.

And, the internet was laughing too, along with fueling the laughter by quickly firing off memes as quickly as they could create them, as is tradition in these circumstances.

But in a break from the norm, even Shaq himself was encouraging people to make them, proving to us all what real star quality he has got, it takes a lot to laugh at yourself in a situation like this.

So there you go, there’s even financial incentive. Here’s some of the funniest ones so far.

And of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without the obligatory ani gif.
