Marvel fans knew that Spider-Man was going to be appearing in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie, which kicks off Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Three, but no one knew he was going to make an appearance in the trailers. Or who’s side he would be on. But here he is—and he’s, well, amazing.

No one knew what his costume would be like either, but Marvel have served the fans well because Spidey’s suit is not only a throwback to the original Marvel Spider-Man comic, but also the 60s cartoon too. It’s blue and red and the coloring is bright with the details totally on point, apart from a couple of additions like some black arm bands.

Also of note is Spidey’s eyes which move, narrowing in the trailer just like they do in the comic.

The way he shows up in the trailer is also classic Spider-Man, the first we know of him is some webbing that he fires out of shot from above to nab Captain America’s shield. He then flip-lands onto the roof of a nearby car and casually says “Hey everyone.” It’s pure comic book.

If you’re a web slinger fan, you can’t help but feel insanely excited by this.

Tom Holland is already looking to be a truly amazing Spider-Man and he’s only had a few seconds of trailer time.

As for the rest of the trailer, well, it kind of takes a back seat but it sets up a bit more of the story confirming that Iron-Man is siding with The Man and wants superheroes to be held responsible for the collateral damage they cause. Even so far as a prison comes up on screen and Stark says, “That’s why I’m here. We need to be put in check. Whatever form that takes I’m game.” Whoah. There.

Meanwhile Cap is siding with Bucky and whatever he seems to have done. Whatever carnage he’s wrought the Black Panther is seriously pissed with him. And also in the trailer it seems Bucky shoots down Stark’s bud Rhodey, (War Machine). Does that end up killing him too? Maybe.

We also see Scarlet Witch and Vision battling, Iron-Man and Cap trading blows, Ant-Man riding on one of Hawkeye’s arrows, and then the two sides charging at each other, as Iron Man, War Machine, Vision, Black Widow, and Black Panther take on Falcon, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Cap, Scarlet Witch, and the Winter Soldier.

Then, right at the end, Spidey comes and steals the show.
